Since our diffusion throughout the community was such a success last quarter, we decided to separate forces again, participating in three service days in our area. First, Steven, Ben, and Andrew volunteered at the Alpharetta Branch of the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System. The Reference Librarian had a special project in mind to kick off the new school year, which was the perfect task for the CR Solutions team. Together, they replaced all shelving in the DVD section of the library. They enjoyed the challenge and the service, and even the Library Director was impressed with the new and improved shelving.
North Fulton Community Charities has become one of the organizations that we most enjoy giving our time. Our service in the Thrift Store and Food Pantry provides a helping hand to local families; assisting them with food, toiletries, clothing, and more. This quarter, two groups of CR Solutions employees volunteered with NFCC. Due to the surplus of donations, the Thrift Store always needs help sorting through items. On one trip to NFCC, Brian and Yoshi took on the toy supply. In order to ease future storage and stocking, they threw away unusable toys, sorted the toy categories, and reorganized the back shelves. On a second trip to NFCC, Leah and Michelle worked with other Food Pantry regulars to sort and stock food from a recent Food Drive. After an Action Alert was sent out due to low food supplies, donations from local businesses sparked a surplus of bulk goods. They sorted through loads of food, and enjoyed working with others in the community to provide to fellow members of the community.
We thoroughly enjoyed working with the Alpharetta Library and North Fulton Community Charities during their times of need, in order to provide to members of our surrounding community. We look forward to working with these two organizations in the future.
