This Winter, CR Solutions participated in two community events. At the end of October, WABE hosted a Fall Fund Drive. WABE 90.1 FM is Atlanta’s NPR Radio Station, funded in great part by donations from the community. During the Fall Fund Drive, CR Solutions volunteers answered phones and took pledges for the station. The all-volunteer phone bank was a great opportunity to meet other members of the community as well as get to know the personalities behind the radio and TV station. We look forward to participating in future Radio Fund Drives, as well as drives for their TV Station-PBA 30.
During the holiday season, we teamed up with North Fulton Community Charities again to assist members of the surrounding community. The NFCC Food Pantry held several Food Drives in November and collected food from 34 local schools, groups, neighborhoods, and families. The week before Thanksgiving CR Solutions volunteers helped unload trucks of food donations and sorted canned and boxed goods for distribution over Thanksgiving. With the help of hundreds of volunteers, the NFCC Food Pantry was able to provide Thanksgiving food for many families in the area. We are thankful for our friends at North Fulton Community Charities and for the opportunity to help and serve our surrounding community!
